Amazon Launches $120 Bluetooth-Enabled Fire TV Soundbar

Amazon

Amazon unveiled a new Fire TV Soundbar, updated Fire TV Sticks, and AI-powered Alexa voice search improvements at its annual fall event on Wednesday.

Fire TV Soundbar

The Fire TV Soundbar is a Bluetooth-enabled soundbar that is compatible with all Fire TV streaming products and TVs. It has two full-range drivers and a built-in subwoofer to deliver rich, immersive audio. It also has a number of features that make it easy to use, including HDMI CEC support and a remote control that can be used to control both the soundbar and your Fire TV device.

The Fire TV Soundbar is a great way to improve the audio quality of your Fire TV device, or any other Bluetooth-enabled device. It is also a very affordable option, making it a great value for the price.

Updated Fire TV Sticks

Amazon also announced updated versions of its Fire TV Stick streaming devices. The new Fire TV 4K Max received a bump in processing power and an upgrade to WiFi 6E. It also supports HDR, HDR10+, Dolby Atmos, and Dolby Vision. The new Fire TV 4K Max is up for pre-order now for $60 and will begin shipping to customers on September 27th.

The standard model of 4K Fire TV Stick also gets a bump in processing power, 4K support, and WiFi 6. It is available for pre-order now for $50.

Purchases of new Fire sticks and TVs will now also come with six free months of the MGM+ streaming service.

AI-Powered Alexa Voice Search

Amazon also announced that it will be bringing AI to Alexa voice search. This will allow Alexa to better understand nuanced questions about what to watch and provide more relevant recommendations. For example, instead of just listing the top-rated movies on Amazon Prime Video, Alexa will be able to recommend movies based on your personal preferences, such as the genres you like, the actors you enjoy, and the mood you’re in.

The new voice search functionality will arrive via an over-the-air update later this year.

Overall, Amazon’s Fire TV lineup is getting a solid refresh with the new soundbar, updated streaming sticks, and AI-powered voice search. These updates will make the Fire TV platform even more attractive to consumers.

In addition to the new features and updates mentioned above, Amazon also announced a number of other Fire TV-related news at its fall event, including:

  • A new Fire TV app for Android TV devices.
  • A new Fire TV remote with built-in voice controls.
  • A new Fire TV Kids Pro model with parental controls and a more kid-friendly interface.
  • A new Fire TV Cube with faster performance and support for 4K HDR video.

Amazon’s Fire TV platform is the most popular streaming platform in the United States, and with these new updates and features, it is only going to become more popular in the future.
