On Monday, Amazon Prime Video unveiled that the highly anticipated Fallout television series is slated to make its debut on April 12, 2024. This exciting revelation was delivered through a succinct teaser video, shared across the streaming platform’s social media channels, such as Instagram. The teaser’s design cleverly emulated the iconic Pip-Boy interface.
Initially disclosed back in 2020, the series is set to blend a “serious and harsh” ambiance with a touch of “ironic humor” and a dose of “B-movie nuclear fantasies.” This unique concoction promises to captivate audiences as it unfolds.
Crafted by the ingenious minds behind Westworld, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the live-action series will feature an original storyline firmly rooted in the Fallout gaming universe. The narrative is set to kick off in the year 2077, commencing within Vault 33 in the sprawling metropolis of Los Angeles. As dedicated fans of the game are aware, this universe is a post-apocalyptic landscape born from the aftermath of “The Great War” on October 23, 2077. In honor of this significant date, affectionately known among gamers as “Fallout Day,” Amazon has chosen it as the ideal occasion to announce the series’ premiere date.

The creative team behind the series is equally impressive, with Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner taking on multiple roles as executive producers, writers, and showrunners. Joining them as executive producers are Athena Wickham from Kilter Films, as well as Todd Howard and James Altman from Bethesda.
