Dragon’s Dogma 2 emerges 12 years after the inception of the original game. Despite grappling with issues like a lackluster interface, the game delivered a rich, customizable narrative that cultivated a dedicated fan following.
Set in a parallel world to its predecessor, the sequel unfolds in the aftermath of an Arisen who had his heart seized by the Dragon. Capcom elucidates, “Queen Regent Disa has orchestrated the placement of a false Arisen to exert control over the kingdom of Vermund for her son. Concurrently, the beastren nation of Battahl regards the otherworldly Pawns as harbingers of misfortune and turns to the worship of the Lambent Flame and their empress Nadinia to avert calamity.” Players can embody the Arisen or opt for the role of the Main Pawn, complete with customizable personality traits. Dragon’s Dogma 2 introduces new formidable adversaries, including the towering Golem named Talos.
While the commencement of gameplay is still a few months away, enthusiasts can officially pre-order Dragon’s Dogma 2. The standard version is priced at $70 and includes a bonus weapon for each initial vocation in pre-orders. For $80, the Deluxe Edition features a “New Journey Pack” with items such as a personalized camping kit and Rift Crystals, along with the Ring of Assurance for pre-order customers.
