As summer draws to a close, perhaps reminiscing about Apple’s annual tradition of gifting students a pair of headphones with their MacBook or iPad purchases, there’s a certain nostalgia tied to a Beats headphones sale. The latest model up for grabs at a discounted rate is the Beats Studio Pro, which took six years of innovation. Originally priced at $350, these headphones are now available for $250, marking a 29% reduction and its very first sale since its July launch.
The Beats Studio Pro shines as a reliable over-the-ear, noise-canceling headphone, especially tempting at the $100 off deal. In our review, it earned a respectable score of 81. Particularly noteworthy is its enhanced sound quality, complemented by dynamic head tracking, which offers a richer, immersive audio experience, bringing new life to old classics. Other features to boast include a generous 40-hour battery life, a transparency mode, and three distinct EQ modes—Conversation, Signature, and Entertainment—available in USB-C audio mode. However, potential buyers should be aware of its lack of auto-pause functionality and it might not rank as the most comfortable wear in the headphones arena.
For those in the market for a more budget-friendly option, the Beats Studio Buds + are also currently on sale. A more recent addition to Beats’ portfolio, these earbuds have seen a 24% price cut, now retailing at $130, down from the original $170. Earning an 84 in our May evaluation, a significant factor contributing to the score was its attractive price point. These buds have seen improvements over their predecessor, with enhanced noise cancellation, better sound quality, a 16% longer battery life, and newly designed air vents on both front and sides.
