Amazon’s Fall Hardware Event: What to Expect

Amazon’s annual fall hardware event is just around the corner, and it’s one of the most anticipated tech events of the year. Amazon is known for unveiling a wide range of new devices at this event, including new entries in its Kindle, Echo, and Ring lines.

Last year, some of the most notable announcements from the event included the Kindle Scribe, a 10.2-inch ereader with a stylus, and the Echo Studio, a smart speaker with a new spatial audio processor. Amazon also announced a redesigned Echo Dot, a “no-contact” sleep tracker called the Halo Rise, and a refresh of the Fire TV Cube.

In the security department, Amazon announced two new cameras from Ring, the Spotlight Cam Pro and Spotlight Cam Plus. While these announcements weren’t exactly out of the ordinary, Amazon is known to unveil more exciting devices at this event from time to time. In 2021, it introduced an Alexa-powered robot named Astro that can patrol your home, and in 2020, it revealed a Ring drone that can fly around your house.

So, what can we expect from Amazon’s fall hardware event this year? Here are a few predictions:

  • New Kindle models: Amazon is rumored to be releasing a new line of Kindle e-readers this year, including a new entry-level model and a new high-end model with a larger display and more features.

Of course, these are just predictions, and we won’t know for sure what Amazon has in store for us until the event itself. But one thing is for sure: Amazon’s fall hardware event is always worth keeping an eye on.

Here are some additional thoughts on what we might see at this year’s event:

  • More voice-controlled devices: Amazon is clearly investing heavily in voice control, and we can expect to see even more voice-controlled devices from the company at this year’s event. For example, we might see a new Echo Show with a built-in camera that can be used for video calls or for monitoring your home while you’re away.
  • More AI-powered devices: Amazon is also investing heavily in artificial intelligence, and we can expect to see more AI-powered devices from the company at this year’s event. For example, we might see a new Alexa-powered robot that is more intelligent and capable than Astro.
  • More affordable devices: Amazon is known for making its devices affordable, and we can expect to see even more affordable devices from the company at this year’s event. For example, we might see a new entry-level Kindle model that is even more affordable than the current model.
