Samsung’s Odyssey Neo G9 monitor, unveiled at CES 2023, is set to redefine widescreen gaming experiences. Launching in October 2023 with a price tag of $2,500, this beast boasts the capability of displaying content equivalent to dual UHD screens.

For the cost, which is roughly equivalent to a pair of high-end 4K monitors, users get an impressive suite of features. With mini-LED technology, the monitor supports HDR 1000, ensuring peak brightness levels of 1,000 nits (averaging around 450 nits) and 10-bit color processing. Gamers will appreciate its swift 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, and a DisplayPort 2.1 input.

Adding to its allure is AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro for variable refresh rates. The monitor’s grandeur is encapsulated in its 57-inch display, offering an ultra-wide 32:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 7,680 x 2,160. To enhance the viewing experience, the screen has been designed with a pronounced 1000R curvature.

Samsung’s Odyssey Neo G9, showcased at CES 2023, is about to elevate the standards for ultrawide gaming monitors. Set to hit the markets in October 2023, this technological marvel, priced at $2,500, possesses the prowess to render visuals akin to two UHD displays side by side.

Given its price, which aligns with what one might invest in two premium 4K screens, the offerings are substantial. The monitor is equipped with mini-LED technology and supports HDR 1000, promising exceptional brightness peaking at 1,000 nits (with an average of around 450 nits) and adept 10-bit color processing. Gamers will undoubtedly relish the rapid 240Hz refresh rate coupled with a 1ms response time. It’s well-connected, too, with two HDMI 2.1 slots, an HDMI 2.0 port, and a DisplayPort 2.1 entry point.

The integration of AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro further enhances its desirability, guaranteeing smoother visuals with its variable refresh rates. But where the monitor truly stands out is its colossal 57-inch display, which provides an immersive 32:9 aspect ratio at a stunning resolution of 7,680 x 2,160. To make the visual experience even more captivating, Samsung has endowed the screen with a deep 1000R curve.
